HI Knitters
I have started a charity fund raiser.
I want to collect squares fom all over the world, make blankets and donate them to a wonderful charity called Save The Children.
Save the Children (thru Unicef) is an organisation
who collect knitted/crochet squares , made with 8ply wool.
the specifications are listed below
Knitted Blanket Guidelines:
- Please use 4mm needles
- Please use8ply 100% pure wool (pure wool is used as it is less flammable then acrylic)
- A perfect-sized blanket is made up of 16 knitted squares
- Each square should be about 20cms x 20cms (44 stitches wide, 88 rows high)

thankyou all so much, and i cant wait to get the ball rolling…so to speak
Also, there is no time limit as such, each blanket needs 16 squares, so i will sew them together as they arrive, and will be sure to post pics of when i donate them 🙂
